Our Communities
Boston Indies
Boston Indies is a community of dedicated independent game developers in Massachusetts and the surrounding area. We define ourselves in connection with our community spirit and our group objectives. We gather in person once a month to talk about the art and craft of making games, and to share our work with each other.
Our goals are to:
• Foster a sense of community among Boston’s independent game creators
• Facilitate the monthly meetup and other related community events
• Encourage makers to create games independent of large budgets and large company ties.
• Provide a safe environment to obtain critical feedback on game development works in progress.
• Serve as a brain trust for important information sharing among local independent developers
We are completely agnostic with respect to technology, development platform, game type, and scope of game development. As long as you show up with an open mind and a helpful attitude and you are committed to making your own games, on your own terms, you are welcome to join us.

Special Guest Speaker this Month
This month we will be joined by Adam Scott, Product Manager for the Godot Foundation.Adam’s bio:
Adam is a former lawyer turned game development Swiss-army-knife, with expertise in programming, drawing, video production, music composition, sound editing, and game design. Since 2022, he has been focused on Godot, where, amongst other things, he wrangles lots of people for lots of meetings. After a stint working on content with the fine people at GDQuest, Adam took a full-time position at the Godot Foundation in 2023 working on GDScript and the web platform. As of mid-April 2024, Adam took on the role of Product Manager for Godot. Who knows, perhaps a roadmap for Godot is (finally) on the way?Are you a game developer working with Godot, or interested in learning more about the open-source game engine that’s been gaining popularity? Come and connect with like-minded enthusiasts at our monthly meetup! Whether you're deep into game development or just starting to explore the possibilities of Godot, this is the perfect opportunity to share your projects, learn from others, and network with fellow developers.
We meet 6-9 pm on the second Monday of each month:
Microsoft NERD Conference Center
1 Memorial Drive, M Floor
